WQ Swamp Monitoring Locations NSW

This dataset contains point features that are a depiction of the monitoring locations for the NSW State Water Quality Assessment and Monitoring Program (SWAMP). SWAMP is a state-wide program to collect, analyse and report water quality in NSW rivers. It has operated since 2007 and collects data from ~140 sites across 13 different regions on a monthly basis.SWAMP collects water quality data to:Assess ambient river water quality in terms of electrical conductivity, temperature, turbidity, total suspended solids, pH, dissolved oxygen, phosphorus and nitrogen at selected sites across NSWProvide high quality, long term, statistically robust data to enable river condition and trend reportingProvide data to enable measures of compliance with state and national guidelines and standards, andProvide a framework of state-wide river water quality monitoring across NSW upon which other programs can buildFor more information please see SWAMP on SEEDThis data is used for:Annual SWAMP reportingUpdating the River Condition IndexMatter 12 (reported every 5 years)Basin Technical reportsWater Quality IndexWater sharing plan risk assessmentsThe data contains the River Condition Index target values for the unique water quality zone that each site is located in.
