Finding the right name to give to your baby can be fun and challenging. NSW Registry of Birth, Deaths and Marriages have provided a list of popular names to help you find the one that's just right for you.

An annual list of the most popular baby names in NSW is based on the names registered in the previous calendar year. We have combined the annual lists from 1952 to 2025 and made it available to download.

You can use the Search box to narrow the year or other variables of your choice.

Data is accurate as of 26 March 2026.
