Snow and ice clearing, Southern Region: review of environmental factors

The NSW Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA) proposes to undertake snow and ice clearing across RTA's Southern Region. While the activity would be carried out most frequently on the Alpine Way (MR677), Kosciuszko Road (MR286) and Snowy Mountains Highway (H4), in years where snow falls in other areas of lower altitude it may be necessary to clear snow and ice on other roads throughout the region.
